MISSION

Fostering friendships, practicing compassion, growing Christ followers

VISION

We serve. We believe Jesus Christ has called us to engage in the life of Chattanooga’s Southside community, so we volunteer at local schools, participate in neighborhood life, and actively seek to build friendships with the people around us.

We connect. We believe that the spiritual journey is designed by God to be experienced alongside others, so we are involved in small groups for Bible study, recreation, service, and friendship.

We worship. As a Seventh-day Adventist congregation, we celebrate the Sabbath as a gift from God—an opportunity for rest in a very busy culture. At creation, God rested on the seventh day (Genesis 1), and the Sabbath is a reminder that He is the Creator and we are the created. It’s a wonderful invitation to worship and to enjoy physical rest and spiritual refreshment.

CORE VALUES

Externally Focused. We focus intently on helping the people of our community meet Jesus and grow as his followers.

Relationally Based. Our approach to reaching people is simply through authentic, personal friendships.

Grounded in Grace. Our relational community is built on the foundation of the grace and acceptance found in Jesus Christ. We are characterized by an attitude of inclusion. Our church is a safe place for exploring questions about Jesus Christ and his teachings.

Connected. We value the spiritual journey, which is to be taken in step with others; and we honor meaningful, healthy relationships in which we speak the truth in love.

Simple. Our approach to church is uncluttered. We believe in simplicity rather than complexity.

Diverse. In a culture characterized by fragmentation, we choose integration. We minimize barriers of age, race, gender, education, and economic status. The spiritual journey is enhanced by relationships that cross over lines of separation.
